Interactive Game

Cougar Crossing

A wildlife adventure game about a young male cougar dispersing from his mother's territory on Washington's Olympic Peninsula. Navigate forests, rivers, and highways. Hunt to survive, avoid rivals, and establish your own home range.

Think Oregon Trail on a hex map, but you're a cougar and every scenario is grounded in real ecology.

Animal Gait Studies

Step-through flip-book viewers for studying how animals move — walks, lopes, bounds. Each sequence pairs frame-by-frame photos with a synchronized track-pattern overlay so you can see exactly where and when each foot lands.

Built to help understand the track patterns each gait leaves behind and how the pattern is actually produced.

Learn to Identify Birds

I've been trying to get better at identifying different bird species. One of the ways I've been learning is through flash cards, so I built a little tool to select the flash cards of the birds currently in my area.

The tool customizes an Anki flashcard deck based on recent eBird sightings near you, letting you focus on the birds you're most likely to see.
